Mocha CE Telnet is an application for the Microsoft CE Windows platform. It makes it possible to connect to an UNIX Host with the Telnet protocol and emulate a VT220 Terminal.
From the right corner of the Telnet window, it is possible to tap on the menu elements: File, Fx and Keys. Fx is used to access VT220 Function keys and Keys contains a set of other standard VT220 keys as ESC.
In the following we will describe the file menu elements in details.
All parameters in the configuration are saved in the CE registry.
Advanced:
Notice all non writable characters can be written as octal data using notation \xxx. Example ESC which is hex 0x1b, can be written as \033
If the program reports "Wrong type of License key" , please check:
The license dialog box should look as:

Where you should replace "mycompany" and "B1234" with the information from the License letter.

| Hide status bar | Select if the status bar with cursor position should be displayed. |
| Screen follows cursor | Defines if the screen should scroll to follow the cursor |
| Bell | If a sound should be given if the UNIX application sends a bell message |
| Show negotiation | Should only be used if looking for a problem. The telnet protocol will be shown. |
| Hotspot | If user press a menu element as 12. , Telnet will send 12 return to the UNIX host. |
| Keep power | If an active telnet session, Telnet will keep power on. |

To include characters as CR and LF, use the octal notation :
\abc = octal value. (LF = \012 and CR = \015)
Please notice there is not much security involved doing it! It could be an idea to contact the system administrator to verify it is your company politic to have open access to the system without any password security.
Mocha CE Telnet includes a default keyboard layout. Not all CE devices will have these keys.

The status bar has following format:

| offline (OFF) | No connection |
| request (REQ) | Telnet has asked the CE OS to create a connection |
| online (ON) | Session with the UNIX |
| secure (SECURE) | Secure session using SSH-1 is active |

License system
There are two different types of license.
A company license can be used by a single company. If there are branch offices or home workstations, a single company license will be valid. For a multi-national company, we must ask for a company license for each country.
If a file named mconfig.cfg exist on the PDA device root file system (My Device), all configuration lines in the file NOT starting with # will be copied to the Registry for Mocha Telnet. mconfig.cfg is an ASCII file, which can be edited on a Windows PC with a normal editor as notepad.exe
Mocha CE Telnet includes 3 different toolbars. Select the next tool bar using the left arrow icon button. In the default configuration it is the icon next to the menu.
If strange TN_TIMING_MARK statements are displayed sometimes on the telnet screen, it is because option Show Negotiation in property - other menu has been enabled.

It is possible to customize most colors in Mocha CE Telnet. Select a color with the mouse and click OK. The number of possible colors depends of the hardware configuration.
