Troubleshooting Mocha Keyboard
Troubleshooting
Pairing fails
- Remove the phone from the Bluetooth device list on the Mac. You can see the list in Mac - System Preferences - Bluetooth. Move the mouse to the phone name, and a (x) is shown. If not, first select Bluetooth on.
- Restart the Mac.
- On the phone, if the Mac is listed, use option "forget this device".
- Restart the phone.
- Repeat the pairing process.
Be sure to always to start the pairing from the phone, NEVER from the Mac. If you do, you must remove the pairing, and restart both phone and Mac.Phone does not see the Mac as a keyboard
Mocha Keyboard has been paired before using Mocha Keyboard, and therefore it is missing the Mac Keyboard configuration.
- Remove the phone from the Bluetooth device list on the Mac. You can see the list in Mac - System Preferences - Bluetooth. Move the mouse to the phone name, and a (x) is shown. If not, first select Bluetooth on.
- On the phone, if the Mac is listed, use option "forget this device".
- Repeat the pairing process.
Phone rejects the connect request
The phone has already an open Bluetooth session to another keyboard.
Sometimes bluetooth can be out of order. Turn Bluetooth off/on at both Mac and device. A reboot for both devices may also help. Still problems, remove the pairing as described at the top of this page.Keyboard characters typed are wrong
The keyboard language settings on Mac and phone must be the same. Notice it is possible to configure iOS with different keyboards. A globe will be shown next to the space bar on the screen keyboard, which can be used to select the current keyboard.
If the Mac uses a real Bluetooth keyboard or mouse, it will fail.
